The Victron BlueSolar PWM LCD&USB 12/24V-30A has a built-in LCD display for status monitoring and settings. The solar charger is equipped with an automatic load disconnect. The BlueSolar PWM series uses pulse width modulation (PWM) charge voltage control combined with a multi-stage charge control algorithm.

The Victron BlueSolar PWM DUO-LCD&USB 12/24V-30A solar charger performs well in small systems when the solar cell temperature is moderate to high (between 45 °C and 75 °C). This model solar charger has a nominal charging current of 30A. The maximum solar voltage is 28V for a 12V system, and 55V for a 24V system.
The input voltage of a PWM controller is in principle equal to the voltage of the battery connected to the output. The solar panel is therefore not used at the maximum current point in most cases. The PWM controller is in fact a switch that connects the solar panel to the battery. When the switch is closed, the panel and the battery are at almost the same voltage. The voltage will slowly increase with increasing status of the battery. When the absorption voltage is reached, the PWM controller starts to disconnect and reconnect the panel to prevent overload (hence the name: Pulse Width Modulated controller). Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is the most effective means of charging a battery with constant voltage. The Victron PWM controllers have an automatic voltage detection system 12/24V.

Output load
Deep discharge of the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to the output load. The output load will disconnect the load when the battery has reached the preset discharge voltage. Some loads (particularly inverters) are best connected directly to the battery and the inverter remote control to the output load. A special interface cable may be required, please refer to the manual. The connection and disconnection voltages are adjustable.

Day/night timing of the output load
This option allows you to set the ON time after sunset.

Programmable battery charging algorithm
Pre-programmed algorithm for AGM, GEL, Flooded or LiFePO4 batteries (only for lithium batteries with internal BMS).
