The Pylontech Fidus Battery Plus FB-L-16-Pro is a high-capacity 51.2V low-voltage residential energy storage battery designed for modern solar, hybrid and backup energy systems. With 16.076kWh of nominal and usable capacity, high charge and discharge capability, integrated intelligent monitoring and extensive inverter compatibility, the FB-L-16-Pro provides a powerful and scalable solution for residential and light commercial energy storage applications.

The FB-L-16-Pro is the enhanced version of the Fidus Battery Plus platform and is specifically equipped with a low-temperature heating function. This allows the battery to operate in demanding cold-climate installations where conventional batteries may be unable to charge normally. Heating parameters can be configured through the battery display or Pylontech monitoring interface.

High Capacity and Powerful Performance

With a nominal voltage of 51.2V and 16,076Wh (16.076kWh) of usable energy, a single FB-L-16-Pro provides substantial storage capacity without requiring multiple small battery modules.

The battery supports a maximum continuous charge/discharge current of 188A / 200A, while peak current can reach 300A for 15 seconds. Pylontech describes the 16kWh platform as capable of delivering approximately 10kW of continuous power and 15kW for short-duration demand, making it suitable for systems with significant household loads and short power peaks.

Pylontech specifies support for 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD) under the stated test conditions. The default lower State of Charge limit is set to 5% and can be adjusted according to system requirements.

FB-L-16-Pro with Integrated Low-Temperature Heating

One of the defining advantages of the FB-L-16-Pro is its integrated low-temperature heating capability.

Unlike the standard version, the Pro model is designed to support operation in cold environments. The specified working temperature range for the FB-L-16-Pro is -20°C to +55°C for both charging and discharging. When temperatures fall below 0°C, the battery heating system raises the battery temperature to enable charging under cold conditions.

The heating functionality can also be configured through the battery's interface, providing greater flexibility for installations in garages, technical rooms and other environments where temperatures may fall below freezing.

Intelligent Monitoring – Display, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

The FB-L-16-Pro combines high storage capacity with advanced system monitoring.

An integrated display provides direct access to important operating information and battery settings, while Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity enable local and remote monitoring. The battery can communicate with compatible energy-management systems and inverters using CAN and RS485 communication interfaces.

According to the operating manual, network connectivity enables real-time monitoring, control and parameter configuration, while Bluetooth provides local connectivity for mobile-device access.

Designed for Indoor and Outdoor Installation

With an IP65-rated enclosure, the Pylontech Fidus Battery Plus FB-L-16-Pro is designed for installations where protection against dust and water ingress is important. Pylontech also specifies a C5-M anti-corrosion rating, helping make the enclosure suitable for demanding environmental conditions.

Installation is flexible: the battery supports both floor-standing and wall-mounted configurations. Optional accessories can be used for mobile floor-standing installation or wall mounting, depending on the installation design.

Its compact vertical form factor measures approximately 435 × 240 × 900mm (W × D × H), allowing a large amount of energy storage capacity to be installed while using relatively little floor space.

Scalable Energy Storage

The FB-L-16-Pro has been developed for systems that may need to grow over time.

Pylontech specifies support for up to 20 batteries in a battery group and up to 6 strings, subject to the required system architecture and installation requirements. Multi-group installations require the appropriate Pylontech LV-HUB-V2 communication hub and must be configured according to Pylontech's installation documentation.

This scalability makes the Fidus Battery Plus platform suitable not only for larger residential solar installations but also for applications where additional storage capacity may be required in the future.

Broad Inverter Compatibility

The Fidus Battery Plus platform appears on Pylontech's official Low Voltage ESS and Inverter Compatibility List and supports communication via CAN and, depending on the inverter/system, RS485.

The supplied Pylontech compatibility document includes compatible inverter families from manufacturers such as Victron Energy, GoodWe, Solis, Deye/Sunsynk, Growatt, Sungrow, Schneider Electric, APsystems, Sofar, SAJ, LuxPower and others. Long Service Life and Pylontech Warranty

The current Fidus Battery Plus datasheet specifies a design life of 15 years and a cycle life of 8,000 cycles under Pylontech's stated test conditions.

For the European Union and United Kingdom, Pylontech provides a 10-year consumer product warranty, subject to the manufacturer's warranty conditions, installation requirements and maximum energy-throughput provisions.
