The Victron Energy Multi RS 48/6000/100-50 230V is a high-performance 48V inverter/charger designed for residential, commercial, backup and off-grid energy systems. Combining powerful inverter functionality, intelligent battery charging and advanced grid or generator support, the Multi RS provides a flexible solution for installations requiring reliable and intelligent power management.

The Multi RS supports several operating modes, including backup, off-grid and generator operation. During a grid outage it automatically switches to backup operation, while generator mode can reduce generator run-time by supplementing available generator power with energy from the battery when demand exceeds generator capacity.

Victron's integrated PowerControl and PowerAssist technologies allow the maximum available grid or generator current to be configured. PowerControl prevents the AC source from being overloaded, while PowerAssist can supplement insufficient grid or generator capacity with battery power during periods of high demand. When demand decreases, available power can again be used to recharge the battery.

The inverter operates from a 38–62V DC battery system and delivers a regulated 230V AC output. Continuous inverter output at 25°C increases from approximately 4600W at 46V DC to 5200W at 52V DC, while peak output reaches 9kW for 3 seconds, providing strong short-term power for demanding loads.

The integrated AC charger provides up to 88A charging current at 57.6V DC under the specified conditions, while the programmable charge-voltage range of 36–60V provides flexibility for compatible 48V battery systems. A battery temperature sensor is included, and battery voltage sensing is supported.

A built-in display, Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app make configuration and local monitoring straightforward. VE.Can and VE.Direct communication interfaces enable integration with Victron GX devices and remote monitoring solutions. The system can also be expanded with additional AC-coupled or DC-coupled solar capacity.
