The BCU is the control unit required to run a BYD Battery-Box HVB tower. It provides:
Battery management & system control for HVB stacks (SOC handling / system supervision).
Inverter communication interface via CAN / RS485 (inverter compatibility required).
Support for HVB platform smart functions such as automatic SOC adjustment, remote diagnosis and OTA (system/inverter dependent).
The BYD Battery-Box HVB platform is BYD’s newest generation true high-voltage storage, using cobalt-free LFP cells developed in-house in a solid die-casting case and designed for professional ESS deployments.

High power charge/discharge: 50 A continuous and 98 A peak (15 s) (derating between -20°C and 0°C).
