BYD Battery-Box BCU Power Module – for HVB, HVS+ and HVM+ Systems

The BYD Battery-Box BCU Power Module, also referred to as the BMS or control unit, is an essential component for compatible BYD high-voltage battery systems. This unit is used to control and manage the battery tower and to enable communication between the BYD Battery-Box system and a compatible hybrid or battery inverter.

This BCU is suitable for use with BYD Battery-Box HVB, HVS+ and HVM+ battery systems, depending on the system configuration, inverter compatibility and required number of battery modules. It is designed for professional high-voltage energy storage installations where reliable system supervision, battery management and communication are required.

The BCU provides battery management and system control, including system supervision, SOC handling and communication with the inverter via CAN / RS485. Depending on the complete system setup and inverter compatibility, the Battery-Box platform can also support smart functions such as system monitoring, remote diagnosis and firmware updates.

Compatibility and system configuration

This BCU can be used with compatible BYD Battery-Box HVB, HVS+ and HVM+ battery towers. The required number of modules depends on the selected BYD battery platform and the connected inverter. Always check the latest BYD compatibility list and the inverter manufacturer’s requirements before installation.

Important: HVB, HVS+ and HVM+ systems must not be mixed together in the same battery tower or in parallel connection. Each system must be configured according to the official BYD installation and compatibility instructions.
