Product overview

The BYD Battery-Box HVB module is the building block of BYD’s newest-generation high-voltage LFP storage platform. Each module adds capacity to an HVB tower and integrates via BYD’s patented internal plug connection for fast, clean stacking and service-friendly installation. BYD specifies you can extend anytime at any SOC (platform feature).

BYD positions HVB as a professional-grade ESS platform using cobalt-free LFP cells developed in-house and a solid die-casting case for robust long-term deployments.

System requirements and compatibility (critical)

• HVB towers are built from 2 to 10 modules per tower. One module is not a complete tower/system. 

• HVB systems require the correct HVB BCU / Power Module and must be paired with a supported high-voltage hybrid/battery inverter using the required module count / voltage window for that inverter.

• Platform reference: communication interfaces are CAN / RS485 (implemented at system level with compatible inverters).
